Liverpool FC have decided to go with the original Stanley Park design for their new stadium to replace Anfield. This design dates back nine years, created by Manchester-based architects AFL for a 60,000-seat stadium costing £300 million - scrapping an overly-ambitious modern design that was chosen during the Hicks/Gillett-ownership era.

April 1923: Crowds at the turnstiles before the FA Cup Final between West Ham United and Bolton Wanderers at Wembley Stadium, aka the White Horse Final. It was the first final to be held at the newly completed venue, with an estimated attendance of at least 200,000.
